Our August meeting was at Marco Brewery.
Our usual custom is to meet on an informal (volunteers only) rotating basis at one another's homes. We meet the 4th Monday of the month at 4:00 PM. The hostess selects the book and facilitates the discussion. We read whatever the hostess suggests from classics, to best sellers, to non-fiction to.....For a full list of what we have read so far, consult previous posts.
For a member who would
like to facilitate but cannot host in her home (for any reason) we have
readily available default locations. The goal is to give everyone a
chance to select and sponsor a book.
Our
only requirement regarding the book selected is the sponsor must
actually have READ the book. Word-of-mouth and reviews can be
disappointing. We have made an exception for books that have won major
prizes.
