Our October selection is Radium Girls by Kate Moore and will be moderated by Ruth; with the Curies' discovery of radium making headlines across the nation as the fresh face of beauty and a medical wonder drug being used in cosmetics and tonic water, the popular new element shines bright after WWI. This is the story of the hundreds of girls who worked amidst the glowing dust of the radium dial in the factories. (Amazon)

Our November selection will be moderated by Susan and will be the 2017 Pulitzer Prize winner, Evicted by Harvard sociologist, Matthew Desmond. Mr. Desmond follows the lives of 8 families in Milwaukee as they struggle to keep a roof over their heads.  (Amazon)

Our December meeting will be a book exchange. Everyone is asked to bring a new or old book that has some special meaning, write a short message in the book as a reminder to the recipient why you choose to share this book. Any genre can be chosen.  Please wrap the book as a holiday gift.
